Who decides his salary? What does it matter what the man does with his own money? It’s not like he bought it directly with tax dollars. Let the man enjoy his hard work. ---

Paterson is not the problem. He’s one of the first politicans to be open about how fucked our budget is and take steps to address it immediately. The longstanding NYS policy to comply with their balanced budget requirement is to rob the future to cover right now. ---

“was shipped July 31.” It was probably ordered last year considering how slowly things work in the government. Times are tough now, but he is supposed to go back in time to un-order the rug? ---

It’s not like they didn’t know we were heading towards financial issues in this country even last year. No need for an expensive rug. How come there is no accountability for spending and the waste that gets pushed through? Seriously? ---

Spending $21K where that equates to a portion of salary of a person that is getting laid off or losing their job due to the fiscal crisis. Sorry Mike, we’re going to let you go.
