God damn, Joe. Oddly enough, I had a friend do the exact thing, on the same on-ramp which resulted in very similar damage. He also rode a gixxer. Get her fixed, and maybe get a track day under your belt for some more experience with pushing the bike. And this is why I hate pushing it when taking on-ramps that have barriers. ---

Not that fast…no citation was given. probably like 25-30…granted to fast for cold tires and gravel and my skill level…but it was going to happen eventually. just glad I was lucky to walk away. I had joe rocket leather jacket…def saved my right arm. the patches are almost gone. shoei helmet that bounced off the barrier…did its job. than kevlar jeans, that tore in a few spots. ---

First time going down moving yes. Yesterday sucked, today is even worse. i can walk better now, just can’t put a lot of pressure on my left leg. my back is burning, Im probably going to the hospital if it keeps up. I can’t twist side to side at all. Road rash on my leg is just like a scrape when your a kid. bruises on my legs, and bad on my ass. Not really bothering me though. mostly the internal injuries that hurt the worst. gloves that tim said sucked, held up very well! palm is destroyed, but still connected. Yea, helmet is gone, when I smacked it, I took a few good chunks out. IDK what would have happened if I had my HJC on. no head or neck injuries. thank you shoei! Pics of damage to self and gear: ---

Oh def! my arm would have been destroyed if I didnt have leather jacket on. I slid probably 2-3 feet. and look how much my jacket is torn. Kevlar jeans saved my lower body, that could of been a lot worse with regular jeans on. ---

I know all too well the feeling of road rash/soreness after a crash…it sucks, at least you didn’t slide and flip like I did lol. ---

I slid and flipped in the air 180 into the barrier back first. you can see my skid marks if you take the entrance still. Road rash really isn’t that bad…after the shower it is though! Holy shit! Mostly just my back now. I can walk again. :eekdance: ---

Ouchh, I bruised my hip, contusion in my left shoulder and nasty road rash on my knees and left side of my ass/hip, the next day I wanted to shoot myself lol. Get a prescription for 800mg Ibuprofen, it helped me big time. Just wait till everything starts tightening up/scabbing…that’s when it hurts the most lol ---

Yea my knees have a lil rash…nothing major. How long did the rash take to heal. ---

Well when all was said and done, I think it was about a month. My shoulder never healed though, I ended up tearing a ligament in it during the accident and didn’t find out till this past winter. I got some nice scars on my hip bone and knees but other than that, it all healed ---

Glad to hear you’re ok Joe. I just sold mine after the short time of owning it because I’m moving. I’d like to upgrade next year but it’s tough to see so many people go down. Good luck with the recovery. ---
