Because the system is corrupt enough already and it favors the incumbent. Remove term limits and in 10 years the presidency would be like the NYS legislature where the incumbent wins 95% of the time.

president terms are fine. we need to do the same for congress and the senate, kick all those career politicians out.

I really like the idea of everyone getting one 6 year term. You campaign, you get in, and that’s it. No more worries about campaigning again and you know you’ve got a shelf like to accomplish what you set out to do. I think it would greatly increase the number of “good” people we have running too because you’d get people running who view it as a service to make the country better instead of a career to line their pockets.

FDR was the only president that served more than 2 terms **and he was one of the best presidents this country has ever seen.** If someone isn’t doing their job, they will be elected out in at most 4 years. I guess it just seems stupid when you can potentially have an administration doing an amazing job, and not be able to continue it because of the 22nd amendment.
