# Obama worries Liberals

I didn’t think we were going to see some kind of radical change and these are signs that we aren’t really going to get some kind of change… I didn’t really see all of that possible in todays geo-politcal climate. I mean, I’m don’t have a PhD in world politics but I read alot of world news on a daily basis and have for a few years now.
After reading the article what do you think? Are we in for more of the same and a continuation of policies fostered by the Bush administration and Neo Cons or is there really hope for some kind of radical change, whatever that means?

only time will tell. I’m sure he now has more information than he did as a sentaor which is probably influancing his policies. Not everything is black and white (tee hee)
one thing is for sure, he’d better make good on the promises he made or he’s going to have just as hard of a time with the media that bush had

This is the way I see it, especially after receiving his first CIA/NSA briefings. That shit must be sobering.

Hey I would be the first to rant if he doesn’t try to follow through on the things he promised.
But he’s not even in the White House yet. I have never seen or heard of any President outside Lincoln who got more coverage of their pre-inauguration administration than Obama.
At least give him a chance to screw up. :lol:

Far left and far right are usually wrong, the two are just needed to balance each other out I guess. For every hippie anti-war liberal, there’s a greedy asshole conservative trying to cash in on apache helicopter sales.
Anyone able to find a full list of the 300+ “Bush doctrines” things Obama plans to undo right away?
And yeah, god forbid he tries to get the ball rolling before he’s in office. What a terribly irresponsible thing to do. What I don’t get is why conservatives keep saying “he better keep good on his promises.” If you agree with his promises why didn’t you vote for him?

I like how before he got in the conservatives gripe was that he was going to chose a all leftest cabinet. Now that he has some people that will balance out his ideas he is a traitor. I’m glad he chose some from the right to find a middle ground. I didn’t want most of the things he preached done right away. It would have been catastrophic for a complete change like that over night. That is if everyone wanted to maintain this level of comfortable living that’s fleeting fast.

It’s not about what she said. It’s about the fact that Obama didn’t answer the question about him appointing someone for office that not that long ago he said she was going to be terrible at.
He treated the question as a joke, and I’m sure that foreign affairs isn’t a simple matter.

Oh you mean the economy that was going strong through a 5+year war? Which untill recently had a lower unemployment rate than under Clinton?

Yeah, bubbles tend to burst…
I hope he does better than what so many seem to be expecting.
Anyways, I’ve been listening to Obama’s book (the audacity of hope) while I workout lately. Anyone that cared to catch a glimpse of his thoughts would not be surprised that he is building a well rounded cabinet. The dude’s not about “my way or the highway”, he’s about “seek first to understand then to be understood.” He always emphasizes understanding both sides of any issue. Given that spirit of moderation and understanding, I think anyone expecting or afraid of a sharp left turn is going to be sorely disappointed. Change? Yes. Scary radical change? Probably and hopefully not so much.
