no, it is not like starship troopers.
In starship troopers they tried very very hard to make sure you didn’t get in the service unless you were absolutely dedicated to the idea of the whole over the individual.

Sounds like a great plan to me.
And no, there is no way to hell anyone would try to send whiny hippies to Iraq, that would never ever happen.
So why would anyone be opposed to what is proposed above? seems perfectly reasonable to me… why send the national guard who is trained to fight to hurricane country to help out when a civilian organization could do it better and cheaper?
volunteer fire fighting, EMT/EMS would all fall under this, and most importantly free training. Isn’t that one thing that could really help some people who have zero education and don’t want one… on the job training on how to do something productive?
This is not a new idea, lots of countries have been using this method (but primarily for the Military and not Civilian organizations) Israel, Japan, Korea, France…

A lot of Republicans are really making themselves out to be scared elitest whiners after this election.
That was fairly close to how McCain ran his campain, (negatively), and it is why the Republican party is suffering - and why they will suffer for awhile. This is not the way to swing democrats and independents back your way. People are completely turned off by this crap. Especially the “Veiled Racism” crap by douchebags like Tom Baurle, Sandy Beach and Rush.

He has people in Iran and Iraq that paid for his school and leant him money for his huge house 10 years ago and the plan was to get him to be President in the future so that he could control the country! Why is it BlueFaggot fails to read that what the guy is talking about is Civil Service in this country. Prepping younger generations on how to handle crisis and have prepared society? I think it is a great idea and btw… Oama DID talk about this quite often in how he wanted to get the youth more involved with civil service stints and making them attractive to people to do

I would NEVER serve for this country in its pointless wars.
Now if we were invaded and the war was in our public streets, I’d be out there blasting away. There NO WAY IN HELL I’d ever get on a plane and go to someone elses home turf just to fight a pointless war. To be totally honest I wouldnt wanna fight in any war america is in, WE NEVER WIN. We havent won a war in a LONG LONG TIME.
