# Obama's new chief of staff supports a draft?

regardless of who’s idea it is i like it. the program is all about helping each other and protecting your own soil if a fight came here not going to war. We’d really need to get all the details about such a program though for things like compensation durring these hiatuses(sp?) but if they pay you to do jury duty i wouldn’t be surprised if they paid you for this as well.
as for the notion of a draft it was never physically stated as a draft. but seriously we’re drafted to do things we don’t want to do on many different levels all the time for our government, our place of employment or for our families. the word draft just isn’t used and isnt used here either. so stop reading into things so much. not everything is a conspiracy.
edit… i also agree with stroked quit being a fear monger.

Not a terrible idea, there is a big difference between a draft and civilian service. Teaching average joe’s tactics is one thing, drafting them is another.

I am not even a republican…sigh…
I didnt say Obama said anything about mandatory service. You just keep putting words into my post. All you know how to do is scream “fear mongering! burn him!”
There is obviously no longer any intelligent conversation here. Just people charging others with things they didn’t post when you can easily go back a page and read the truth.

I bet he does get something through. It may not be as large as what he wants but I bet he does get some programs through.
And as far as the cost goes, I would love to see my tax dollars go to this instead of tax breaks to oil companies and Iraq.
