# Obamas statement on kanye

The President shouldn’t be commented on the character of musicians, not because he doesnt have an opinion, but because he’s the President. When he is acting as the President, he is quoted on record regarding duties as President. Now he’s been quoted off record saying something that Presidents dont say. He’s a figure head as much as he is a leader.
