# obtaining a temp trip permit or plates

one more time:

you can ONLY get a temp sticker _without a safety_ when you FIRST transfer it into your name (and even then, only if the car’s previous ownership showed it as FIT)

if you have a car that is already transferred into your name, and your ownership says unfit, you are not getting a temp sticker

Ahhh ^^This is probably true I’ve never been in that situation. I understand the angle now.

Ya just throw some fake plates on it to take it for safety.
