Since they are RCI Members and my Dad belongs to RCI due to owning property rights in Florida, He is looking into getting us a whole week for about 100-200 bucks total. :pimp: ---

Well I’m also registered for this show. So we are good to go. just waiting for the word on this Time share deal from my dad so I can figur eout if I will be going for just the weekend or For 7 days. (jenn’s bouncing off the walls ever since I mentioned possibly staying a week. If I hear “YYYAAAYYYY Beach” one more time she’s going to be burried on one) ---

Yeah the rooms at the Dunes are probable newer and nicer and you have the view, but you’re also blowing an extra $175 on a two night stay. And how much time will you really be spending in that hotel room? Hardly any. Im not knocking your choice, the view and the location are probably worth the extra money to a lot of people, but for those that just need a decent place to crash or if you have a family and dont want to pay a shitload more to be right on the beach (that $85/night difference = $600 on a weekly stay) then the FSK doesnt look quite so bad. Dont be knocking my livelyhood nigga! ---

Dont be knocking my livelyhood nigga! gina will be in the room with mikes girlfriend lonnie during the days… so it will be worth it for her and lonnie since they like to be at the beach… and i am sure cortney flannys girl will be up there to with them sitting on the beach or pool side… thats where its worth it, because the guys can be at the car show all day and the girls are at a location they can do what they want and are able to walk to any place they would want to go. so spending the extra money is definitely not a problem! ---

The restaurant had some sort of fish special that night. You and Mark both got rooms in the OLD (built in 1940’s) section of the hotel. All of the buildings in the back were building in the 80’s or later. They arent the most luxiorious rooms either but its that way for a reason. Not everyone can (or wants) to pay $200+ per night to come to Ocean City. Its not the Hilton but its far from the “dump” you were describing. ---

Only reason they cant pull $350+ per night like the other big hotels is because they’re bayside and not Ocean Front. [Motels.com](http://Motels.com) and [Expedia.com](http://Expedia.com) both are listing their price as $267/night, and 88% of hotels give a pretty good discount for their GDS rates (internet travel agents like orbitz, expedia…). Maybe they have some other room type that is sold out or something that isnt being listed on the internet… :dunno: If I were you though I might call and double check just to be sure, or make sure that you have a confirmation letter that confirms that price in writing. Also, check and see what their cancellation policy is. A lot of places down here have rediculous policies. ---

Nothing wrong with that, but just because there’s a cheaper alternative that isnt quite so glamorous doesnt mean its a dump. Trust me, there are some REAL dumps in Ocean City. ---

As soon as we heard about the OC show we booked rooms. The hotel probably didn’t know about the show yet, that’s why the prices were so low. (lower than normal anyways, trust me, we were surprised too at the price!). And I believe that we do have a confirmation letter. ---

I just called down there right now from work on a recorded line and confirmed with the person down there. That is our cost. Costs don’t go up till July according to the person I talked to. She stated that our rooms are confirmed and we have confirmation numbers. I also made the call from work so I’m having my supervisor pull me a copy of the Voice Print Recorder as further insurance since every phone line is recorded… ---

Ive heard all sorts of horror stories from people. People coming in with confirmed reservations and not having a room, people coming down and having to pay double what they were quoted… ---

Most places have a substantial jump in prices come mid June. They like to keep it somewhat cheap for the Senior weekers and then blast people with full on summer rates ASAP after the seniors pack up and leave. Either way, congrats on the awesome price at an awesome hotel. ---
