Taken straight off the Pens website word for word > Executive Vice President and General Manager Ray Shero announced today that the Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired forward Georges Laraque from the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for left wing Daniel Carcillo and a third round pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. > > Laraque is currently in his ninth NHL season and has registered 22 points (five goals, 17 assists), along with 52 penalty minutes in 56 games with the Coyotes this season. He has registered seven multi-point games this season while posting plus-or-even rating in 48 of 56 games with Phoenix, including plus-or-even in 23 of his last 24 games, posting a plus-seven overall. The 6-3, 243-pound forward set a career high with assists in four consecutive games (five assists) from November 14th through November 19th. > > Laraque, 30, has registered 133 points (48 goals, 85 assists) while collecting 878 penalty minutes in 546 NHL career contests. What I want to know is how they get press photos of these guys so quick? Do they photoshop them, or do they send someone out to a local store to pickup a cheap 'Guins jersey and take them down to Olin Mills? ---

Fuck that game…I cant stand the devils…I cant wait to have Old man Roberts and Laraque in the line up. We are in need of a nice little 6 out of 8 run or so…or we will be out of the playoff race real fast ---

east is to tight to be messin around. we gotta start gettin some points or will start droppin. like someone said before, its games like that where Crosby and Malkin need to step up and make something happen. 1 goal in 14 games or whatever isnt gonna cut it if you are suposed to be the best player in the league, i dont care if you lead the league in points or not. gotta step up in a game like that, not get owned from 3ft away from the net by broduers stick. ---

i like the new offensive lines. kinda sucks crishtensen is down on 4. also id rather see staal up on 2 with malone and malkin and drop ouellet down to 3 tho. ---

I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a lineup similar to this in the next few games while we get the bugs worked out. ---

^^^Then put Roberts on 2nd and Recchi on 1st. I just want to see Staal with Crosby. Roberts will work good with Malkin and Malone. ---

Decent game…sweet we got the SH goals…Staal = manchild. Not sure if I liked the new lines…but gotta give it some time. Crosby needs to SCORE!!! (In regulation) ---
