Vanek And Kotalik are the primaries on the PP. So when they do score. They DO NOT get a +1. Vanek @ -7 is third in the NHL in PP Goals. Kotalik is -4 with 11 PP goals 5 behind Vanek, he also has 12 assists too. ---

1. Worst officiating I’ve ever seen. 2. I’ve been on the Miller bandwagon longer than most but it’s not time to get off…he’s horrible. 3. With boston and Washington both winning last night it’s pretty much over for us. Compare our schedule to their’s and Philly’s there is no way it’s going to happen. I honestly had faith it could happen up until last night. ---

so for those that hate miller and im starting to see more and more he has lost a step it seems what is your alternative? who is out there in the market that we can pickup and WILL be better? i dont know of any all-star goalies that can make the move over here and wont be a question mark. ---

I bet most players do commit to one shot before they touch the puck. Roy said after the game that he had thought about what he was going to do before hand. Then when the time came, he did it. ---

I would assume you have a back up plan if the goalie completely shuts you down. I personally think kotalik’s two moves are flawless. Start it out forehand, if the goalie commits bring it backhand, all he has to do is worry about spacing with the pokecheck from the goalie. He uses both sides of the net and gets the goalie on the move. If the forehand snap shot is there… then take it. the shootout against Biron was the perfect example. Biron left the forehand WIDE open, cause he knew he was going to bring it backhand. Probably caught that from kotalik’s approach. ---

Well the Capitals just picked up Huet for a draft pick. Montreal’s new goalie is some rookie phenom. It’s Darcy’s job to see what talent is out there right now. We do have 2 first round picks this year as well. ---
