“After the game, coach John Tortorella stormed
through the locker room, kicking a motorized fan
and yelling profanities at his players.”

“Tampa Bay coach John Tortorella, the former
Sabres assistant, was understandably fired up
when he met with reporters after Buffalo’s
comeback victory.
“We got paralyzed. To me it’s mental
toughness,” Tortorella said. “And it’s coming
from our top people. That’s what’s frustrating to
me. We’ve been in these situations for years.
That’s what’s frustrating. They need to take it
and lead. They need to show us the way.
“It’s been a problem all year long for us. That’s
why we sit 29th or bleeping 30th in the league. I
don’t know where the bleep we’re at.”
Stanley Cup champions in 2004, the Lightning is
last in the East and 29th overall.”
