Gonchar Snubbed for the All Star ballot…yeah that makes sense…tied for 1st in scoring for all defensemen…avg a point per game…what a fuckin joke

That is so stupid, I can’t believe that!
Did anyone see the interview Mark Madden had with Jagr after the game? Jagr apparently said he’s planning on playing one more year after this season and wouldn’t mind it to be played in Pittsburgh. When Madden commented on well every time you touch the puck in Mellon arena it erupts into boos, Jagrs response was the he knows we (in Pittsburgh) don’t mean it. Don’t get me wrong I would love to have Jagr back but ehh I don’t know, I would rather pickup someone else lol.

We don’t need Jagr anymore really. Not with his $8mil contract.
If he wanted to go out with a bang and a $1mil option with maybe some incentives, then we can talk.

I think over the past few years Jagr has gotten to be one the most selfish players in the NHL. Neither Malkin or Crosby are like that both end up passingsometimes way too much. But yeah he isn’t worth it for that amount of money.

Awesome game last night…not too sure if Fleury should have been pulled…But Danny stepped it up and played awesome. It was nice to see them play 100% the whole game and beat the best team in the NHL. Maybe a little built up anger from last year??? Rutuu FTW…that move was sick…shootout specialist

Danny played one hell of a game! I am suprised Therrien yanked him so early but wow, what a move. I question whether we would’ve made it to the shootout in the first place if MAF was in net. Geno is a great player don’t get me wrong but his shootout moves need some work lol. None the less it was a great outing and quite a suprise in my mind. I thought for sure it would be a molesting!

those were 2 early, bad goals. he pulled him and the team sparked up (before we went down again) but in the end he looks like a genius right now cause Sabu wont he game and kept us in another long shootout. it was a gutsy call by Coach T but ill give him props.

Yeah…that game was sweet…everyone seemed to play solid…we actually threw some hits. If we can play a little more physical our odds of winning are so much better. I am somewhat happy with how our last 5 games went, we went 3-1-1 getting points in 4 of the 5 games. I know it isn’t amazing but that is the hockey we need to keep playing.

Not quite Penguins only, but related…
The board of governors passed a 26-4 vote to reinstate the old scheduling format, meaning we don’t have to see NJ/PHI/NYR/NYI 15 fucking times a year.

awesome. not really a fan of the current set up… except for last year when we got to kick the shit out of philly 8 times a year.

yeah I didnt like the new format all that much…thats 32 games against the same 4 teams…it will be nice to go back to the old format.
