This is going to be a tough one for the Sabs. The Rangers have a chance to go 6-0, which would be the first time in franchise history that they’ve started out with that record, so you know they’re going to be psyched about that. Plus, as of right now, Lundqvist is the hottest goalie in the league, imo. My guess is a 2-1 win for the Rangers, but I’d love to be wrong about that. ---

And its gonna be worse now that Hecht is out… We have 3 centers out right now in Gaustad, Connelly and Hecht. Looks like its Ellis’s time to shine baby lol. ---

I’m going to be really interested in seeing Paille-Clark-Pominville together. I think they’re going to create a lot of chances. Having Mair center Kotalik and Afino makes for a scrappy 3rd line with a guy who has a bullet of a shot. Could be dangerous. Ellis is actually pretty good, so that 4th line is going to be a crap shoot. Lindy gave that line a lot of minutes last game, so I’d expect him to do the same tonight. Peters vs Orr is almost a guarantee. ---

Yeah this one is gonna be a doozie… Idk why, but I can really see us taking this one too despite the injurys… I think Clarke is such a solid player. Our third line will definitely overpower theirs. ---

End of the 1st. Maybe it was because the crowd was super quiet, maybe it’s because I can’t watch the game in HD, maybe it’s because the Sabres seem totally uninspired, but the Sabres look totally uninspired. Pretty close 1st period, but the Rags got the +1 off a deflection that Miller had no chance on. Shit. ---
