Looked pretty damn good defensively. Not real impressed with the Vanek, Roy, Stafford combo. Hopefully the chemistry gets better as the season goes on, or they try something else. Fucking Timmy C… plays one game in the pre season and still can’t be healthy for game 1. Huge mental win for Miller in the shootout, somewhere he was just awful last year. Nice to see Teppo and his clean clear the zone passes back. ---

Miller had to make a lot of saves from wide open shots due to shitty turnovers at our own end. Luckily it seemed that that Habs fanned on the puck every time they got that opportunity. If anything, say our penalty kill did ok, seeing that they had one of the best PP’s in the league last year. Either way, great game and nice win! MSG really shit the bed on the coverage though. You can say “well it was their first coverage of the season,” and thats why that intro sucked to hell and all the cues were off, but no power play indication on their score board???What is this 1962! ---
