I’m excited to see what their defense is going to look like this year. I heard an interview from Mike Weber who was paired up with Meyers at training camp, and he said “We take up most of the ice”, lol. If they’re paired up together, that will be one monster, yet unexperienced, blueline. ---

The coaching here has been the same for so long that there are too many players that are comfortable with their role, and know they can slack for a few games and they’ll still be second line or whatever, because they’re Lindy’s boys. A coaching change would put everyone on edge and make everyone re-prove themselves or lose their jobs to people who can do what is expected. ---

The Buffalo Sabres have agreed to terms with defenseman Andrej Sekera on a multi-year deal and have signed forward Clarke MacArthur to a one-year contact. ---

Super happy about the Grier signing. Didn’t Grier say something along the lines of “Buffalo isn’t committed to winning” when he left??? I like the move but what changed in those couple of years that he wasn’t here??? Nathan Horton is freaking awesome. That would be a steal for us if it went through. ---
