Opening ceremony starts today at 4pm EST. NBC coverage starts at 7:30PM.
Digging up schedules and relavent websites now. Will update as I find stuff.
One thing’s for sure, USA is going to beat Canada at everything. :usa:

What? You’re not excited about the Olympics? Come on! Some Chinese guy broke some sort of archery record and we haven’t even had the opening ceremony yet! Romney already offended a foreign country on an international stage and we haven’t even had the first presidential debate yet!

For tomorrow:
Phelps is swimming for a medal in the 400m medley.
Beach volleyball will be going on all day and is usually pretty entertaining, especially the women. Brazil is on at 5:30. :ass:
USA women’s soccer vs Columbia at 5:00.
Weightlifting interests me. You can check out the women’s snatch at 3:30.
Otherwise the usual assortment of stuff. I can’t wait for the canoe slalom on Sunday! :mamoru:

I actually am excited about the games. Mostly weightlifting.
Hysen Pulahu, 77kg class, tested positive for something (unknown) but is fighting it. This sucks, he was going to be fun to watch.

I think the televised Opening Ceremonies start at 7:30PM on NBC.
I’ll be interested in the track-and-field sports, boxing, swimming (Canandaigua NY native Ryan Lochte is said to be Michael Phelp’s biggest competitor), and Women’s Volleyball

Ive got a family friend on the mens archery team finished 18th over all individual and the mens team is 4th overall so far.

I said I don’t care how well Canada does, (Or the US for that matter) but I definitely enjoy the individual efforts for certain events and the big stuff like Volleyball and Basketball. I’ll probably put most of my attention on Volleyball because A) Those women in shorts…mmmmm. B) I play and C) Those women in shorts…mmmmm.

I’m sure NBC didn’t want to miss a second of ratings-dominating coverage and opted for a 7:30PM start for Americans, 4PM and we’d miss at least an hour.
I think it’s a five-hour difference between EST and London.

You should see the other cards, like the one that shows the twin towers being destroyed. Like I said this game came out before any of this actually happened.
