I think it still does navigation with google maps but doesn’t do turn by turn directions?

hmm. i’m content with a program like what the iphone comes with. it takes up the whole screen, you just click “next” for the next turn’s instructions. but no voiceover or anything like that (i tried using a voiceover gps, i can’t hear shit as I always have music on)

when you get the 2.0 update, the turn-by-turn navigation will be built into the google maps app, which is a standard app.

I’ve been trying to figure out how to get my moto Droid to vibrate when i receive a notification. I don’t know if it doesn’t do it or if I completely skipped over the setting.

this is what i was really geeked about, aside from it being a sweet feature I have been waiting forever for google to get on the ball and make their own GPS to compete with garmin and tom tom. I have often found things on google maps that i can’t locate on my nuvi.

Hey - anyone with the Droid - does it do spreadsheets? Can it handle conversions from Excel, or will I have to download/install a 3rd party app?

I know all the updates took about two or three weeks to work out the bugs in the past fwiw.
