I need to get back up to Waterbury to get more heady topper I’ve only got one left. I want to buy a case of it one of these days but I don’t drink it fast enough and it’s definitely a beer best enjoyed fresh.

Had some more of that Adirondack Rock the Boat Ale. Some watermelon flavor beer that was surprisingly decent.

Will have to try that. The only watermelon beer I’ve really enjoyed is 21st Amendments Hell or High Watermelon. Hard to find fresh and loses flavor pretty quickly unfortunately. Prefer to buy NY brews anyway.

Been to Shmaltzs brewery three times now since it opened. Highly recommend checking it out. I also just read they sold the Coney Island brand to a BBC (Sam Adams etc) brewery.

Pumpkin beers are out early and theres a shitload to choose from. My fridge is stocked with this year and last year’s Pumking along with some Saranac pumpkin jugs, Weyerbachers Imperial Pumpkin and Ommegangs new Scythe and Sickle (malty Belgian, no pumpkin).

Also made a trip to Lee, Mass and was able to score some Jacks Abby 4 packs. Some of the best lager I’ve ever had and decently priced at the package store just off the Lee exit.

And if you’re into sour beers and the like its a great time to stop at the Bier Abbey. Went last week for the Rushing Duck party and they had a trilogy of RD sours including a mead/sour blend. Also have Allagash’s Curieux which is a blended barrel aged sour. Also had the new Stone Gotterdamerung and it was a really dank fresh hoppy IPA. Definitely different than your standard IPA get it while its fresh.

who else is fucking excited as fuck for the new pumpkin that southerntier is releasing in september?

already have had a couple pumpkings this year, have harpoon’s pumkin ufo and a pumpkin ale from a brewery in colorado (ill try to edit this when i get home with the name) in my fridge right now. was trying to get harpoon’s pumpkin cider but brew crew on 20 didn’t have it a couple days ago.

i love pumkin beer season. rarely drink octoberfests anymore with how many pumpkin brews are out there.

How was the coconut IPA? Sounds terrible but so did Dayman and I actually enjoyed that when fresh.
