just realized that stafford was the guy who got wrecked while sticking up for his line mate and captain…and then came in to win the shootout with his goal. i was wondering why lindy put him in…could it be a little salt in the wound of defeat for ottowa?
we better bring our game on saturday, my guess is they will be fired up and wont slow down at all.

umm heatley, spezza, and alfredson wanted no part of that, they knew it was gonna happen. so spezza turned away, and heatley got away…
But when mair just started to pummel someone, the other two had to get in there to break it up.

Cause stafford is a quality player, good stick handling skills, and what other forward do we have to put in?

oh, then that totally explains his 0 for 1 in shoot outs before last night. hardly our best choice imo for the win
edit: dont get me wrong i agree stafford os sweet, but we dont have to put forwards in for shoot outs…its not liek they are the only ones who can do it

That 1 was from the previous shootout we had just the other night. Who would you have picked over Stafford? All of our normal shootout players are injured.

He would have picked Vanek, because he’s a big name that bandwagoners recognize.
Nevermind the fact that he’s now 2 for 10 in shootout attempts.
