refs did suck but the sabres lost that game by themselves thats what they get for taking the 1st period off

yes the first period lost it for them…
but depietro and sillinger god damn they were impressive… I couldn’t believe how important those faceoffs were… every face off had to be won, and sillinger… did a great job doing that…
the refs, i’m a little dumbfounded on the calls… they were really going for holding but didn’t care about roughing… or boarding…

besides our shitty play the first period, the main reason we lose game 2 is because Dipietro \>\>\>\>\>\> Sabres. He did everything short of vaporizing the god damn puck with laser vision. :rant:

Ok…but if we play 3 full periods, we still (in theory) score at least 1 more goal.
3 full periods against a team that CAN’T skate with us = win.

it was a good save, but that could have easily been a goal…if this is the shot im thinking of. i believe the puck got to someone pinching in from the point and whoever had the puck had all day and an open lane to shoot.

Miller let in a weak goal or two and dipietro made the game by stopping everything in his way despite one goal that came from like 4 or 5 consecutive shots within a second or two or eachother. It was a game that goaltending really decided.Dipietro and miller are two of the youngest most similar goalies in the league.Then again our first period over all sucked untill the very end and i still do not blame miller.

no that was campbell i believe, it was when vanek recieved a pass in front of the net and dipietro was down. all he had would of had to do is roof the puck to put it in the net, but he put it right into dipietro

yea i noticed that poor attempt to flip it over dipietro’s pad ,vanek always seems to fuck up when we really need him not to. I hate the officials in the play offs did anyone see how shitty they were in the ottawa vs pens game??they sucked in our game but they were just fuckin rediculous in that game.

ok i remember that one too. he couldnt lift it over dipietros leg iirc.
the refs arent terrible theyre just calling it a lot tighter. there were some calls in the pens sens game i thought could have been different but o well.

That’s not exactly accurate. Lest we forget Max getting a penatly for waving his stick at Miro, followed by no penalty when Pominville got blasted from behind into the boards 2 minutes later.
Inconsistant is the term I would use.

game last night was fun, too bad they SUCKED ☹ It’s tough after being a wings fan so long to sit and watch such piss-poor puck handling and passing. Not that the Islanders were GOOD, hell, it was like they were both trying to one-up each other on who could suck MORE ☹
