i tried turning on wgr 550 and watch the game muted, but theres like a 3-4 second delay between the two. i almost wanted to just listen to it on the radio and turn the idiots on nbc off. ‘ya know, james patrick and lindy ruff both played for the rangers at one point, so they know this building’ … how the fuck does that matter? announce the game, stop babbling about stupid shit. ---

I didn’t go super slow-mo on the DVR, but the HD replays didn’t give me any reason to think that was a goal. It hit the post, shot back out. And they did review it, so if it had gone in I doubt they would have missed it. I don’t think they played that bad. Lundvquist made some HUGE saves, and that was the difference. ---

[/quote] I guess I missed where they said “we’re reviewing it” due to me going back and looking at the DVR footage. I guess my playback didn’t show all the angles they had. Either way, SO CLOSE! Let me guess, you get your “HD” from Time Warner? They compress the shit out of everything. That or you’ve still got your TV set in “Burn In” mode the factory sets it at to make it look bright on the showroom floor. Over the air HD FTW. I really wanted Hull to go over and beat the shit out of Ferraro. It was getting close to happening too. I’ve been dreading this game because I’ve watched a few other series games on NBC and their announcers are awful… so much worse than the VS crew. ---

terrible terrible. RJ’s call is so dramatic, so much better than these idiots talking about some players off season hobbies, right in the middle of a scoring chance. If you get a chance to watch the canadian games on CBC, their call is usually excellent. That announcer for nbc/versus is such a douche, him screaming about “a drive”, and him referring to the goal as “the cage” really irks me. ---

[/quote] I have Air HD and I agree that there was a bit of glare off the ice from the lighting which wasn’t that bad. It seemed to me that the lighting at MSG was very low. Things looked darker than most games I watch. Is that an old building? P.S. Anyone able to get CBC in HD? I don’t know the channel or even it I can get a signal. ---

I had an outdoor antenna setup on a roof in west seneca and could not get any of the canadian channels in hd. Maybe if we lived in lewiston or something. ---

Everyone knows the sabres play their best at high speeds, so if they mess with the ice… they’d slow em down. Sounds like a strategy to me by the owners. But, at home… there is no excuse like last game. That ice should have been perfect! It wasn’t. Unless the conspiracy is to get to game 7, to sell more tickets?? Follow the money… ---

I thought it was a very poor effort tonite by the Sabres. There hasn’t been a game yet this playoffs that has made me confident in their ability to go all the way. Too many give-aways, and too many poor passes, and passes that were on the mark were poorly recieved. ---
