on a side note, i cant mentally fathom how bad edmonton is playing right now…ever since the end of the 1st period of game one…straight down the shitter…just give the fucking horrible bandwagon fans their cup now and listen to them heehaw about it all summer long…
its even scarier to think how bad the sabres might have tore up edmonton after watching these last two games…

eh…the series is going back to edmonton for the next 2 games, which will build the oilers’ steam up, and they’ll take the series to at least 6 games.

hockey doesnt work like the Greater than thread, though.
Situations and matchups are always different. But, I wont argue that this cup would have been ours.

You know, if Edmonton would have come in and swept in in 4 at least in the back of my mind I could be saying, “Hmm, maybe we wouldn’t have won the cup”. If Carolina sweeps it in four I’m never going to get it out of my head that it should have been our cup.

My buddy’s parents lived in Boca Raton Florida, and tom galisano’s wife or ex wife was their neighbor. When all the shit was going on with the sale of the team he told her that he will buy this team and pay whatever it takes to make it a stanley cup contender.
I believe that is what we are gonna see in the off season. We are all pretty sure that marty is gone, unfortunately. That frees up a couple mil and the sabres are already under the cap. This is greatness waiting to happen.
