dude, youve said that like 6 times now. Quit beating off about starting this thread 🙂
Anyways, I say we win it against ottawa in 7. I dont know why a lot of you think emery is all that great. I think he blows. He reminds me a lot like esche. They both can make amazing saves, but they give up rebounds like its their job. As long as buffalo can skate around the sens D (which is going to be the tricky part) the sabres will find the back of the net a lot.

Thats like saying " I didn’t think my mighty meets thread would be popular"…
And yeah, I’m glad that we’re playing ottawa. I’m not worried about our previous losses this year. We won the last two against them, which were the most recent. I think after the Philly series the new guys are going to be more ready to play Ottawa then they were earlier this year. EMERY’s not good and is shakey at best. In a series that is going to be determined by goal tending, I see the sabres having the edge. I’m going to say sabres is 6, just because I feel like most people who think they’ll win in 7, dont really think they’re gonna win.

Its not that I dont think they will win, but we beat philly in 6. This series is going to be much closer, and the only thing closer than winning in 6 is winning in 7.

thus it comes down to goaltending. oh and like someone else mention, special teams, but then again that still comes down to goaltending.
Ottawa and Buffalo are very disturbingly similiar teams. Both have 4 lines, both special teams are amazing and both use their speed to their advantage. Thats why i think it comes down to goaltending, which one of these guys will step up and make the saves. One would hope and expect it to be ryan miller

going into the next round coming out of a 7-1 playoff game is huge. These guys are gonna be fucking pumped to play some hockey and imo we have a great chance to lay it on em and win it. go sabres!!

I disagree. I think the blow out made them comfortable during the majority of that last game. Like they didn’t have to work hard cause the game was over. Usually when a team wins a series they go nuts, we looked like we won a regular game. had we won in overtime we would have gone nuts and I think that might have been better.
Oh well.

interestingly enough, I found out the intro song for the sabres (the song they play when you are watching on TV when all the images, past and present scroll by) is the symphonic version of “rock you like a hurricane” by the scorpions. random trivia for you.

…if anybody knows where I could dig this up as a ringtone for a cingular V551, that would be bueno 😃 :tup:

I HAD A DREAM
and it was about the sabres/sens first playoff game. we went up 2-0. the first goal was almost disallowed because a piece of the puck broke off when the shot was taken and it didnt cross the line. anyways, ottawa tied it back up, but we put another one past them and won it 3-2.
I just wanted to document this in case it ended up happening tomorrow night 😛

I HAD A DREAM TOO. and it was about the sabres/sens first playoff game. we went up 2-0. you went down. on me. then the third goal i got over excited and knocked your right eye out of its socket with my wang. anyways, ottawa tied it up, but we put another one past them and won it 3-2. You weren’t there though, you had to be flown to the hospital for emergency reconstructive surgery. They flew you to the hospital in that blimp thing that drops the little paper things in the arena, that if you catch one (like i did) you win some crap that isnt really all that good.
I just want to document this for when it happens tomorrow night. :tup:
