i personally would prefer no chirping of any kind in the parking lot…why not just drive like, gasp, you’re in a parking lot? and respect the fact that:
A - people may be walking around, since it is a parking lot…and you may hurt somebody.
B - chirping tires means you’re obviously giving more gas than you need to get a slow roll going toward the exit of the lot.
C - again, it’s a parking lot…so other cars may be in close proximity…vehicles that don’t belong to you…that the owners want to keep safe.
D - we do not own the property, and being paying customers only gives us right to stay there so long…it’s by the good graces of the mighty staff/management that no complaints have been filed against us because for the most part we are respectful of their lot…lets keep it that way.
and on a side note:
once you’re out of the lot, you are still not 100% in the clear IMO. people/cops/employees of businesses in the lot/surrounding lots may see you asshat upon exiting the lot, and complaints may still be filed…why not just contain yourself and your need to “chirp” until you’re a block away? that’s approx 8 second, maybe less…i think just about anybody with the patience to turn on a computer and post on here, has the patience to wait 8 seconds before releasing that restraint you have on the right foot.
fuck, people with tourettes can hold in tics for an hour or 2 at a time, until it may be more socially appropriate to tic (not all cases, but many can hold it in)…and i doubt anybody in here (with the exception of maybe Cory, since he watches way too much of it) has tourettes, so nobody has an uncontrollable urge to twitch their right foot down in a place that we have been privileged enough to loiter several nights a week, for several years…without any harassment from any law enforcement/figure of authority.
wow…i didn’t mean for this to turn into such a rant…but i must say, i feel a lot better now. 🙂

oh, I know. I would never light up in a parking lot. Just say we’re at a red light with a bunch of people somewhere. It goes green, and a bunch of people in the front do a little squeal or something like that, I’m not going to run around like a moron getting the club banned from the plaza.

hahaha true i do love tourettes guy…and andy your right about the “squeeling” tires rant…i thought he meant like a little guy, like when your tires are on the white strip at a light and get that little chirp…but agreed, unless your name is big ed there shouldnt be any burnouts in the parking lot…the cops surprisingly leave us alone and dont bother us unless phil collins shows up and screams TASTE THE RAZOR! and then proceeds to smash a sunfire into a parking pole…

4 of Tonawanda’s finest pulled in tonight. Three went to the front door and one sat watching us. Willy went and asked what was up. Was told to wait over there. Must have been a problem other than us 'cuz they left without saying a word to us. Then we went and did some pulls…:wiggle:

or the time the afro amer male in the chrysler 300 decided to a gas-brake-dip through our section of the lot, head to yings, kidnap some girl, get chased down by pat, and then an hour later cops come back asking if we’d seen him or where he went, telling us of the kidnapping…
and when pat knew exactly where the guy pulled in, the cop asked how pat knew if it was down the street…and pat said “uhhhh…”
then willybeen and i were asked for first and last names, addresses, etc…
then some total weirdo, clearly drugged out, started conversing with us, and i can’t put into words how creepy he was…talking about being high on life…and asking who we all were…and upon him walking away i couldn’t hold back my inner asshole, so i had to blurt out “what are you on, man?” only causing him to say more weird, incoherent things…
goddamit i miss mighty nights…shit needs to get back into full swing.

well spent 6 hours under it yesterday…replaced that coolant line that i thought was giving me problems…but now i’m doubting it was the leak, so we’ll have to see on that one.
i found and fixed one of my 2 power steering leaks…the other one is super gradual, so no big hurry to get to that.
found the specific line(s) that are pissing away my boost…and also found out they’re a LOT easier to get to than i previously thought…
i dont work tomorrow, so as soon as i get outta class at 4 (which is also about when the rain is supposed to let up), i’m going right home and putting the exhaust back on, replacing the vac lines that are giving me problems…probably tossing in new plugs since these are prob shot from running pig rich with vac leaks…
and while it’s in the air i’m gonna do tie rod ends tomorrow with a bit of help hopefully from arcticzap since i’ve never done any suspension work before…
it’s a lot to type, but when you think about it, it’s not a lot of work…i should be out ripping around in it tomorrow night :tup:
then it’s off to get inspected…and it should “pass” so, maybe this weekend i can save myself some money by going to mighty rather than out drinking :tup:
and ugh i can’t wait to see how much a difference it is, holding boost as opposed to setting it to 15 psi, and watching it drop to 8 psi due to leaks…i won’t need to make it any faster this year since last year i was only getting half of what i should have lol…
