UBRF/NYspeed has been meeting there since 2002 before that it was a lot of the domestic guys(street figherz which was a mustang club)

Yeah, I didn’t proof read and fudged it up. He knew I was just messing with him, but you can try to fight his battle for him if you so wish to. lol Also didn’t know you’ve been in my car or watched me drive before. I must have a stalker. OH BOY!! 😃

But in all seriousness, we can regulate this I’m sure. If everyone really stands together to keep this shit from happening… it should be good. Honest, as long as people have cars that aren’t illegal for any reasons, no reason you cant threaten to call a cop in that situation. I along with I’m sure a lot of this care “scene” we have in the area would like to actually have a decent meet. From what I’ve seen when I did go to bubble tea, it wasn’t a bad crowd of people (Non douchebags)

You suddenly injected your self into something people have been doing for 10+ years…Not sure if your aware of this but spring just started people will be hanging out there on a regular basis regardless of any involvement you have.

Why, because it seems most people don’t come out anymore because of bullshit happening. Where is half the NYspeed crew you had 5 years ago? why don’t they show up anymore?
Threaten to call, yeah… I want to enjoy myself, not have to worry about someone running into my car fucking around. Or someone driving around like a dumb fuck and then getting the rest of the group kicked out. If you did call the cops on the douche bags to remove them, you’d probably get the respect from the cops as well seeing that you aren’t looking to cause problems. I’d hope that it wouldn’t come to this and not saying it would… but sorry, I don’t care to have dumb shit happen around Thousands and thousands of dollars. maybe that’s just me.

People were still up there all last year…
The average age of this forum has increased and a lot of active members don’t sit at mighty every night anymore…However they would probably show up for a weekly Sunday night meet.
I know you’re not aware of this but THE COPS DON’T KICK PEOPLE OUT OF MIGHTY its been going on like I said for 10+ years…All kinds of drama has happened in the parking lot, on the street, and around the area the cops don’t give any fucks.

Exactly what LZ said…we have grown older and have careers and responsibilities that do not allow me the time to stand in a parking lot til 2 am.
I do like the idea of a weekly meet that doesn’t start at 10pm.
We used to do Bubble tea, mighty, south gate, taffys. Etc. Some fun times but def mostly young and dumb stuff

It’s not that they don’t give any fucks. it’s that no one has done anything overly dumb. I’ve talked to several friends and they’re aware of it and don’t mind it at all because they know we aren’t the douches causing problems in the area.

I was attending Mighty Meets a decade ago. Since then, life has happened. On a nice night, I’d rather hang out on my back patio with friends, than a parking lot filled with degenerates talking about $5,000 shit cans.
Meet and cruise? Again, I don’t see myself “cruising” anymore (unless I had a bike), but this is a much better idea.

I would imagine the fact premium is $4 is another reason you don’t see a lot of new people in the car scene trying to mod cars for worse gas mileage.
Either way there will be people at mighty hanging out just like every other year.

Kyle, come to the TLC meets on Tuesday. I get there at a reasonable hour, and try to leave at one too. With as busy as life is for me these days, I do this as a way to make sure my cars are getting their use.

Yambag was nice enough to inform all of us about these meets he heard of at “mighty”
Maybe he should try to get meets going at Starbucks on Maple and Transit? heard people hung out there before and it was bitchin
