Depends on the tow load. My truck tows my car on a trailer with ease, zero issues with taking it on a long trip.

> It all depends on what your intended use for the truck is if you want to put a plow on it then 3/4 or bigger or your stupid. Also if you plan on lifting it or turning it up your money well ahead with a diesel. I’ll take you for a ride some time in the dirtymax with the programmer turned up, might change you mind a little.

I hear you. Again, most diesel owners own them as a penis extension, and don’t do anything with them that a 1/2 ton gas could do. But, with the 1/2 ton gas, the general public does not get to see the nicer interior (for the money) and lower operating costs (payment, maintenance, etc). The BRO driving just wants the public to see him in his big truck.

Exactly

> It comes down to thats what they want and thats how they spend their money to enjoy the automotive hobby. IE you have a fast sled and Trav has a fast EVO. Both are far less practical then a diesel pickup for your DD to get groceries, but thats what you guys are into. It just comes down to consumer preference.

Most of the time that I’m driving, I’m behind the wheel of a somewhat rusted 95 Corolla with a shoestring doorhandle:tongue
