Does anyone on here have a Seadoo Rxp prop removal tool that I can possibly borrow? This pump looks like hell right now.

Hit a new top speed yesterday, gonna shoot for 75 today. Achieved this with 2 people and full tank.

Nice! What have you done to it so far? I think just SCOM can get you into those speeds on the 310’s?

I have riva scom, custom exhaust and solas 14/21 impeller. I hit 71.8 with me and her before the prop. So gain of 2 with the prop riding 2 up. I’m sure 75/76 is possible with me and 2 bars of gas.

Friday night, we stayed up for quite a while watching movies. Went to bed around 2:30. Dog woke us up Saturday morning to go out. He usually sleeps in until we’re up. Fine, about 5 hours of sleep. We were planning on going out on the lake anyway. Decided to bring a blanket and pillows, go out to about 40 feet, anchor down and nap. It was glorious. I don’t think I’ve ever slept on a small boat.
Napped for about 2 hours, then headed out to deeper water to grill up some dinner.
Got done around 9, and started to head into Wilson channel. On the way in, I saw somebody doing a pretty decent fireworks display to the West. What the hell, we have no agenda. Headed a couple of miles over to watch. Done with that, back to the marina. Cruising along, just on plane. Maybe 20-22mph. I’m standing to watch for lights. Pretty dark out, but no big deal. We’re in 30ft of water and I know the area well.
All of a sudden, maybe 100-150ft barely off of my port bow, I get lit up by a big flashlight. Had to make a hard right to avoid this MF in a boat about my size, anchored down, without a single effing light on. I think the adrenaline rush lasted until we got home. I was pretty shook up. It could have been really, really bad. So new rule for me. After dark, 10mph max, with large flashlight on the helm, scanning direction of travel every couple of minutes.
Seriously unnerving shit.
Oh yeah, and looking back about 20 seconds after the near miss, anchor light turned on.

Long time boater trick from a guy who grew up on the St. Lawrence up in Quebec where it gets REALLY dark.
Try to adjust your course so you’re tracking toward some light in the distance. While standing (so you’re not looking through a windshield) you’ll be able to catch the slight glare coming off the water from the light, and any time you see a non-reflective flat spot you know something is out there. You’ll be surprised how dim the light in the distance can be and have this still work.

I do the same thing, makes it a lot easier to see what’s on the water, even it’s it’s just some kind of debris.
I usually carry a headlamp for the really dark nights, some of the better models have a pretty decent range, but I only have to go about a half mile to the island, so it’s not too bad.

Or go with a FLIR unit. You could even get a handheld or the one that clips to an iPhone.

Went out on the Doo today…seems as if my fuel cut issue has worsened. I am trying to figure out how to remove the fuel selector valve, but am a bit stumped. Anyone have any thoughts?

Are you sure it’s the selector valve? I can’t remember the process you used to diagnose the issue. Removal should be somewhere in that PDF manual we found online.
This could be the last hot summer week we have so I’m going to try and make the best out of it! Likley riding tomorrow.
