Yesterday was nice too, calm in the inner harbor and outside there were enough waves to jump. I had to throw away the ski a few times because I rotated in the air a little too much, lol.
Also lost some intake grate bolts despite being locktited in and covered in silicone. And fowled out some plugs so I need to pay attention there.

What kind of loctite did you use? Dont use the liquid stuff it barley works. Go buy the gel stuff. Its a huge difference in performance.
How did you foul plugs?

The service manual says to use normal blue locktite so that’s what I used. I didn’t know they made a gel, I’ll have to look for it.
And I don’t know. This is the 2nd time I’ve run this ski (the red Blaster) ever and never had the plugs out from the previous owner. Who knows how long it was since he replaced them. He did tell me that the ski could use a different spring to lean it out a bit. There is an 80 gram in there now.
Basically I’m going to keep an eye on the plugs to see how they look over time. If they’re getting dark quick I’ll look into leaning things out. But I don’t want to mess too much with a setup that works well.

This stuff will never let you down. I swear by it after all my trials and tribulations haha. I mean I know on my dads ski it does run rich but you have to be constantly on the gas to keep the plugs clean. I know when he idles into the harbor for a wile you can tell the plugs get close to fowling out. 2 Stroke life lol

Yeah when I’m out jumping waves most of the time I’m not full throttle, I’m part throttle lining things up. I’m going to look for new thread locker today.

My friend’s sailboat is now up at Tuscarora Yacht Club in Wilson. It’s a MUCH better spot that RCR and the facilities are real clean & close to the slips. We’re going to try sailing on Lake Ontario this summer since the past few years have been all on Lake Erie. Going to head to Toronto for sure :tup:

Yep, looks like we’re bay neighbors. I’ll finally be in after a full hull refinish, lower end rebuild, and some other odds and ends, on Friday.

Sherkston. We were watching the waves forecast and they were aimed directly there. It’s also a popular surfing spot so there were several surfers there, kite boarders, etc. We met up with one of the local Buffalo surfers who showed us the area and in return I pulled him out into the waves. :tup:
