My wife and I have done that the past 3 years. I feel better giving to a family that needs the necessities than getting just some extra stuff that I can buy on my own. We got a few gifts from family, but we adopted a family through Child and Family Services again this year. We also donated food to Buffalo City Mission. 🙂

Then we bought a bunch of stuff for my 2 neices and got to be with them when they opened them 🙂

I don’t need anything at Christmas. I buy what I can or need throughout the year. We redid our kitchen, new windows and siding on the house, and I dumped a ton of cash in my Camaro which I can enjoy all next year!

And no, we’re not rich, just appreciative of what we have and willing to help out families that don’t have much to start.
