> aaah toyota reliability is starting to piss me off. My gf has a celica and the thing is awful, synco’s in the trans are garage. The cooling system is garage, the brakes are garage and the motor likes to throw an 02 code once and month then goes away. I’ve never been in an sicon but since it is there cheaper line of products I wouldn’t buy it.

My fam also has an 02 celica. Thing runs mint! Not a single problem aside from regular maintenance. In recent history we’ve also had an 01 toyota echo, an 03 sienna and a 96 rav4. The worst problem we’ve had aside from regular maintenance is a starter.

The whole “\_\_\_\_\_” Relability thing is just a matter of probabilities. Toyota only has a lower percentage of cars that are crap, and a higher percentage of ones that run forever. For every amazing car that came off the line so did a couple POS.

I honestly can’t hate on toyota but I don’t think there everything they use to be. My parents have an 01 highlander and they’ve had to do a thing to it. I own a 97 4runner too so I do like toyota. As benjai said you can always get a vehicle that just wasn’t assembled as well as the others. I don’t know whats up with her car though it hit 180,000 and everything started going to shit. Her door hinges even came loose.

This couldn’t be more true.

My For example. My '04 F150 is on its second motor. Second rear end. 5th set of ball joints. Second set of every sensor on the motor (No exaggeration). Will be going on to it’s THIRD set of cam phasers. Second set of timing chains, guides, tensioners etc. Second intake. Second throttle body… And the list goes on.

Lemons exist in every manufacturer.
