Meh, I guess I’ve got no problem with it. It pretty clearly only applies to uninvited guests, who should just be booted back over the border/ocean anyhow. :tup: ---

Anyway, basically for this to affect you the following has to be true: 1. You’re not a citizen of the US. 2. You’ve been declared an enemy combatant. 3. You were picked up here or in one of the area’s we’re at war with. These aren’t some car theives who the BPD picked up downtown. These are people we are AT WAR WITH. Innocent people will be arrested, it’s an unfortunate part of dealing with an enemy that hides amoung it’s host countries citizens. Since 232 people have been released from Guantanamo there is obviously a procedure in place if you’re truely innocent. If you’re picked up though chances are even if you’re not a terrorist you were living your life on the edge between terrorist supporter and terrorist simpathizer. What I think you’re failing to understand is there has to be a difference in the rights given to citizens of your country and citizens of countries you are at war with. If anything, they’re probably being a little too lienient on determining if someone is “innocent”, considering at least 10 of the people released have re-joined the fight against us. The fact that we can hold someone for any length of time without telling them for what they are being held is a slope this country should never come close to sliding down. I know there’s a difference give to citizens and non-citizens. But the war on terror is not going to be won militarily, it’s just not. Holding innocents for lengths of time with little to no contact with family, torture is not only going to breed more terrorists but it’s going to turn the innocents that we held into terrorists. So what happens after you’ve stopped 1 attack but created 100 more people to plan 10 more attacks? ---
