89 Mustang .30,000 miles.Here’s the setup:Eclipse cd5000 head unit w/gps,3 Eclipse xa2000 amps,2 Eclipse sw6000 10’s,and 1 sc8365 3 way component set.

I’m just curious as I know very little about custom stereo set-ups like that …but how much weight does that add back there???

still workin on it buddy,just want to take my time and not rip any defrosters off and do a nice job for ya.most likely today.

probably less that 100lbs. we try and make it as light as possible

I know you don’t want to show your trade secrets…but can you give some info on what materials you went with. Don’t worry…i’m done with any of my ICE projects. I just know it’s good info to help others.

That’s much less than I had expected! While we’re talking stereos in Fox Mustangs…how difficult is it to get a well balanced, decent bass stereo without subs filling up the back hatch? Right now I have 2 10"s in back and would really like to ditch them, but would still like some bass…ideally a stereo that just sounds good all around (much like many new cars), I’m not looking to rattle my rearview mirror.

And for weight, glass is nice because it can weigh about 1/3 - 1/2 as much as mdf.

I’ve done a few audio installs, and helped with my friends customizing things but that looks very clean to some of the stuff we’ve thrown out there haha
