# oil light

anyone notice when u turn ur car on the oil light stays on for a few seconds after u let go of the key? i just noticed this in my car. i have no idea if its allways done that or what. i checked my oil and its fine, still full. i have an sr and a jdm cluster. is this normal or am i just paranoid?

i think it’s pretty normal… my car does the same. that light is just a dummy light… it probly goes on at first cause it doesn’t sense any pressure and then that’s why it turns off after a while once the oil’s flowing… i think it’s normal… my car does the exact same thing

all your dummy lights come on just to show you the bulbs still work…
youll notice on some cars the engine light is on and if u disconnect the bulb then the car beeps every 15 min or so… dont think 240’s do it but some cars do as a secondary warning…
