I’m really tired of hearing the comparisons to Craig. Craig pled guilty to a single count of lewd conduct. No money changed hands. He tapped his foot in a bathroom stall which is apparenty secret gay code for “lets do gay stuff here in the bathroom”. If true, it looks like Spitzer is a regular customer of a high end escort service that is being charged with prostitution, tax evasion, and money laundering. These are federal charges. ---

IIRC Using the USPS for illegal trade is also federal, but thats more of a pile-on type of charge. ---

This is a guy who bankrupted a lot of NY businesses. No, they weren’t innocent, but neither was he. Feds should show Spitzer the same kind of mercy he showed as an AG; none. Sounds like Sptizer is holding out on his resignation to try negotiating a deal where he won’t be charged, using the resignation as his bargaining chip. ---
