I think the largest misconception people have with an abortion is that its a 1 hour in and out thing.
Taking pills = 1 day of the worst pain ever, then 2 weeks of hell. On top of the puking, mood swings and everything else that is accompanied with being preggo in the first place. Believe me, once a girl has an abortion they will be far more careful.
Then if the pills don’t take care of it they go in and do it surgically.
Not saying its their fault to be in the relationship in the first place… but pregnancy is not something people can always just continue on with their lives for.

pro abortion means you advocate abortion. pro choice means you advocate the choice to have an option.
my ex girlfriend was a counselor at a women’s clinic that provided abortions. Before endorsing the process, it was her job to go through a list of other options with the patient.
and to the “make them watch on a screen” comment. they’re there. they see what happens, it’s not like they go in and poof it’s done. even once it’s over, they still have that whole process with them. it’s engrained in their mind.
I had a girlfriend who became pregnant (didn’t have an abortion) and had a miscarriage. she is still emotionally scarred from this.
it’s so strange to me when men dictate what women should do. we don’t know what it’s like to go through that. and we also have the conception (i won’t say “know” and be an asshole, lol) that women can be more emotional than men. so who are we to tell them the way they must treat certain circumstances.
I’m gonna go work on my car now.

I usually give them the choice of a hot coat hanger or the stairs the choice is theirs.
As for the kids in foster care:
No one wants to adopt a 5 y/o that has been raised by some crack head, this is a huge mentality of most adopters. This is why they want new born babies 75% of the time.
I’ve known 2 families that both had to wait YEARS to get the opportunity to adopt, so go figure.

People who can not have kids and want them generally adopt from birth IMO. Kids in orphanages are placed in them by CPS, abandoned, run a ways, etc. not just babies who grew up in them.

This is like gay rights, shouldn’t even be wasting or tax dollars on it, just something for the party’s to take a stance on. The government shouldn’t be telling us what to do. The option is out there and should be. I personally think it should not be used nearly as often as it is. The biological purpose of sex is to reproduce. As a society you should preach your values, like taking responsibility for your actions. In 4 years with my girlfriend we have never had a scare, because that is what happens to dumb people. While I believe abortion should be available it isn’t even an option for me. Obviously this requires my girlfriend to believe this too, and while she is pro-choice, she also chose to have sex with someone completely capable of raising a child. There are a ton of dumb people but abortion just seems unfair if we are using it to take care of that problem.
But if everyone was allowed to abort one other adult person, the problems of human kind would be nearly eradicated.
