A friend of my and his band are playing at Olcott Beach. Has anyone been there? Is it a “beach” like Mickey Rats or Sunset? Sand and nice water… etc. ---

lol I have never been to Olcott in the day… everytime i go the town and everything is closed … but from what i have seen its small but a fun looking town ---

My GF is originally from Burt, NY which is right down the road from Olcott. There isn’t a ton to do there but it’s a nice area, the beach itself is pretty decent and there are some pretty cool views. There’s also a harbor area with some pretty good restaurants and and bars 🙂 ---

I go to Olcott once a year. They have a yearly car show that gets 800+ cars. This year it is on August 30th (Saturday). It’s pretty nice out there to just go and relax. I think they also do Saturday night cruise nights down there too. ---

It’s much more…um…rustic than Sunset. If you like to chill without a huge crowd it’s great. ---

it was closed last week, a front end loader was moving sand around and they had it all taped off… As far as a beach? lol more like a spot on the lake with rocks, a little bit of sand and lots of seaweed.
