he did the right thing, but he will probably be charged wtih something. The law doesn’t like citizens to have that much power. ☹ ---

I think his defense is if he says it looked liked they had a gun pointed at him…if not chaces are he will serve some time. ---

He should have hung up with 911 and did his deed, then called back in and told them to send a coroner with 2 bags because they tried to attack him. ---

I’d take him as a neighbor anyday. That whole phone call isn’t going to pan out well for him, but the phone call doesn’t prove what the robbers did in his front yard. My luck would be instead of robbers, it was my neighbors uncle or something going over to feed the dog and I shot him thinking it was a thief. 😃 ---

Wouldn’t you guys expect your neighbor to do something about it if they had the ability? I don’t think he should be charged really either…but it’s true, some people would take it out of hand if it’s legal. I’m sure he won’t get a full sentence of any sort like if it were just murder. ---

I have no idea what will happen from this incident. However I believe in Texas you are allowed to use deadly force to defend property. But I would assume this means your property, not your neighbors. ---
