it sounds cheeper … i pay 55 for phone and 50 for dish … but i dont have interweb :gotme: and i would def pay 50 for the inter web

Yeah, I think I’m going to price out a fios package today after lunch.  
Right now, I’m paying:  
$91 Dish  
$32 Vonage  
$35 TW

These are all after taxes/fees, for a total of $158. TW was a promotional price though, so that will eventually go up.

I’m guessing I can price my Fios setup out lower than you because I’d be fine with having the DVR in one room hooked up to my one HDTV.

As far as the media center, why use fios when u can use the xbox360?, is there something different with the fios one?

IDK, but I looked at it the other day after you mentioned it here, and it’s in the guide and comes up when I choose that channel. :gotme:

The fios DVR is not a Windows type media center, although it DOES have those capabilities.

It is a media sharing STB in its own right. It is the only DVR in the house, however it can “share” or stream DVR content to any other STB in the house.  
Ex: I can record mad money on the DVR in the back of the house and watch it up in the bedroom.

Nice. I’m getting mine installed Sunday morning. HD Extreme package and 20/5 internet for $80/month. Free DVR for a year too.

Bump

Just got our Fios installed today. One of the higher TV packages and 20/5 internet.

All I can say is… WHY THE FUCK DIDN’T I SWITCH EARLIER!  
The internet is amazingly fast. We have more channels. Quite a few more HD channels. And it’s cheaper than what we were paying for TW. Also, we have a box with every TV so you can access the main DVR which is really nice.

:tup: to Fios. Glad I made the switch.
