Honestly, it’s amazing how many perks you get from working there. I only work there part time (since I have another job) and aside from the store discount (which is fucking amazing) I get accomodations from all of our suppliers and shit like that. Each cell company we carry either has a nice employee plan for us, or gives us 20% off of our normal bill.
There are definitely worst places to work, especially when the people are cool to work with. I work at the Galleria store, and it’s normally a good time going in.

I want a part time shift just for the perks. Can I work once a week, or does that generally not float?

Doesn’t fly unless you’ve been there and make good with whoever does the scheduling.
In order to be hired, you have to be available all day saturday/sunday plus available for at least 3 4 hour shifts during the week. That’s not to say you’ll get scheduled for all that, but you have to at least be available.

10 different iPhone threads was bad. Now 10 merged into one is even worse.
Can we delete this thread and start over? Lol.
Anyways, I pay about $110 a month - 20% discount - my company paying for a decent chunk of my plan so its pretty sweet. Out of pocket, I pay about $35 a month.
$89.99 for 900 min with rollover, unlimited data, and then $20 for unlimited texting.
About getting an iPhone 1st gen, there is the slow network issue, the call quality issue, and the non true gps. Ya, it has the google maps integration in it that locates you within like 1800 meters using cell towers but you will never see turn by turn and deal with the dissapointment on the faces of 16 year old asian girls when you tell them “No its not the new phone”
