# open source atlas software?

I’m looking for some kind of atlas or map software for win32. Similar to MS Atlas. Anyone use one that they can suggest? Would be nice for the up coming road trip to keep on the laptop opposed to lugging around a bunch of maps and/or driving directions.

Google Earth?  
Not open source but it is freeware.

yeah, thought about that but unfortunitly it requires an internet connection (or a huge cache)

I actually was able to get my hands on MS streets so I guess this thread is moot now 😃

thanks for the suggestion though :tup:
