For Sale:
1996 Geo Tracker 4x4 5spd \* Lifted \* 2pc Removable Hardtop
Mileage: 138, XXX (Still climbing as it is my DD)
Color: Black exterior, Grey interior with Black accents
Body Style: 2dr with side opening tailgate and lift hatch
Price: $2900 OBO [COLOR=black]or trade \* see below \*[/COLOR]
- Modifications \*
2.5” Calmini Full Suspension Lift. Part Number SK 19800. Not installed by me, was on the truck when I bought it. All of the Blue suspension parts in the pics.
3” Body lift giving the total lift to be about 6” over stock ride height.
2pc Removable Hardtop. The truck originally had the soft top, I replaced it with the hardtop. It does NOT leak whatsoever, all rubber weatherstrip is there with no rips or tears. It was originally white and is now painted black to match the truck, though in some parts show in the pics it is starting to chip off but not too noticeable.
Pioneer Head Unit, not sure of the part number but it is not an expensive one by any means. Has input for mp3 and 23 different faceplate colors. There is wire ran already for an amp and subs but there is NONE included, they are already taken out.
The Good:
4x4 works EXCELLENT, engages and disengages flawlessly with no leaks from the transfer case or rear end.
Has 33 x 12.5 x 15 Super Swamper Tires, 1 is 80% tread left…… 2 are 40% tread left and the last should be replaced but can be driven as it sit no problem.
Has CURRENT nys inspection that is due Oct 11
New parts that I have installed: Bosch triple platinum plugs, wires, cap, rotor.
I also grounded the motor to the frame.
The frame is CLEAN no rot and very minor if any surface rust, most of its undercoated
The Bad:
Needs front rotors and pads, Truck brakes good but could use new ones.
Could use new tires, I was going to downgrade and put 31 x 10.5 x 15 on it but decided I was not going to keep it so I never bought them. But the current tires will last a little while.
Paint job, as shown in the pics the truck is faded. It’s still glossy but clear is wearing away in some spots and there is minor surface rust but NO HOLES.
CEL is on for the egr valve. I have cleared it a few times and will stay off for about a week then pops back on. Again I have no need for this truck, just would like to get rid of it hence me not fixing it. But the inspection is current so no rush.
- Reason For Sale \*: No longer have interest in the truck. I have put a lot of money into repairs. Need to have a more road worthy DD that gets more MPG. It is super fun both on and off road.
I take this on the thruway daily and have no problem going 65 -70 MPH in it. The gas tank holds around 10 – 11 gallons which I have calculated with mixed driving I get about 155 miles to a full tank even with the enormous tires. With a little TLC this thing could be perfect.
There’s a lot that I’m sure I’m forgetting. PM me if interested, I’m not on often so pardon my response time if it is long.

As far as trades, I need something great on gas, something that doesn’t need a ton of work done and is inspected.
This truck blows HOT heat, the AC I think needs a recharge but it has the 2 tops. Super fun to go topless.
The MPG on this is not terrible, has about 10 -11 gal tank and WITH the big tires it pulls about 155mpg mixed driving.
Need to get rid of this asap !
