# Ordering contact lenses

My prescription for my contacts has expired and I need new ones. Does anyone know of any places that they can be purchased locally. The prescription expired in December. The presciption is good for one year, I guess.

[font=Verdana][size=2]you won’t be able to buy lenses without a prescription. you’ll need to go to the eye doctor, get an examination and subsequently a new prescription before you can order.

Nope. Where ever you order them from will call your eye doctor to get the prescription renewed by phone. You don’t need an exam. Granted, renewing the lenses will be at the eye doctor’s discretion, but they usually will grant it as long as it hasn’t been years since your last exam and you’re ordering the same lenses as what they have on file for you. I ordered my last set of contacts online this way, which reminds me I oughta do it again.

i had basically the same situation last month and i had to have an exam.
