Let me know if you notice any hot spots in the center of the screen. I was really interested in LCD DLP but got scared when I heard several complaints about that. Hoping it’s something they resolved.

From what I have read, the 2nd Gen fixes a lot of issues they had on top of it being 40% brighter than the previous model (Nikuk has the 1st Gen). When I get it set up and all that, you can stop by and take a peek if you want. I will even take down my Kevin Costner love-fest poster for you…(hint: it doesn’t exist) 😉

I’ve had the LED engine HLT6189S (iirc) for ~8 mos, not a problem yet. Granted, I only watch it ~6-8 hrs a week.
You’re welcome to come check it out Jay.

Thanks for both offers to come see these LED DLP sets in person, but I really don’t need any more motivation to replace my HD setup. If it dies I’ll be making the rounds though.
