Hey all, I’ve been trying to find information on Porsche’s lately. However the interwebs support for cars that are $$ bill yo is terrible.
What are the 1980’s era Porsche 911 worth in terms of actually driving? They seem like money pits but I’ve heard they are beautiful track cars even for their age. Worth the bill?
I’m absolutely in love with the 911’s figure, and I wouldn’t mind buying one some day. I’m just worried it’s too much of a bite out of my wallet to handle.
Any random info, just discuss.

Stay with 87 or above for the gearbox alone. They’re not bad at all to work on.

Is it because they went from 4 speed to 5 speeds? Or because they changed from cable to hydraulic clutch?

It’s because the 915 gearboxes are easy to skunk and the syncros are garbage.
