The GTi-R “redtop” is different than the RWD redtops and the other (blubird, ect, ect) AWD redtops.

ITBs  
Higher capacity oil pump  
Lower compression 8.3 vs 8.5  
Larger injectors 444 vs 370  
T28 vs T25
