# Paypal question

why would a paypal payment to a shop be “Status: Temporary Hold Placed” and “pending authorization?” I ordered a hoodie and I’m afraid it’ll sell out before I can pay…

it’s off a credit card.

Sounds to me like the hold is on the item, to keep it for you while the card authorization clears.
