I got an email from PayPal and it’s all in French. I went to the website and it’s also all in French. Does anyone else see that? edit: I found the pulldown on the website to change it back to English. Did they just add that option and maybe things are screwed up and defaulting to French? ---

Next time don’t go to that website. Somebody’s trying to get your money. never go to a paypal email’s website. I get hit once and never again. change your password on paypal and check your bank account. This might not happen to you, but better safe than sorry ---

There were no links in the email (I wouldn’t have followed them anyway). I typed in [www.paypal.com](http://www.paypal.com), and it was in French. ---

Anytime I get an email from paypal or ebay for something I didn’t buy, I forward them to [spoof@paypal.com](mailto:spoof@paypal.com) or [spoof@ebay.com](mailto:spoof@ebay.com). They’ll tell you if it’s real or not. ---

From what I could read in the email, they suspected my account was compromised and wanted me to change all my info. When I logged onto the actual PayPal site, it said the same thing, so the email was legit. My account balance is still the same. The French thing may have just been some other non-related issue. Unless someone got into my account and changed my language setting to French! ---

Your account was hacked or you were spoofed. I would remove any linked bank account/card. (If they are smart, that’s what they are after) ---

(If they are smart, that’s what they are after) we have an ebay account here at work…but no paypal account directly for work, we get emails all the time asking us to renew our paypal account bc it has expired…but we’ve never had one… Ebay does the same thing, they send an email telling you you violated some code and your account has been suspended… They are tricky lil bastards…
