Yo you fucks. Came home today and tried to log in to my server… nada. Fans running, no video, no keyboard lights… power off and then back on gives me no post, all fans run (minus cpu cooler), no beeps, no video. Unplugged erryding and tried it with just cpu, 1 mem stick, same deal. don’t do shit. it’s a Core 2 Quad Q9550 on a Gigabyte GA-EP45C-UD3r rev 1.0. Fucking thing has been together and working for like 2+ years now. I’m leaning towards power supply (even though i bought a good brand) does anyone have a known good one I can try before I purchase?? Current is 600w I believe. I even yanked the CPU and tried to re-paste and re-seat it. ---

If for whatever reason youc an’t get ahold of gatville and want to bring it to my shop in CP let me know bring it on by and we can fuck with it. Did you just try removing a stick of ram or did you try one you know works? Also try removing any PCI cards etc. ---

DIS \*\*\*\*\* PRECUMMIN!!! Thanks Jon. Confirmed as power supply. Neither of the ones I borrowed fit, but the mobo power connectors worked so it at least posted with beeps. (nothing else had power) ---

OCZ. Fucking things under warranty still BADASS. 3-5 year on PSUs with OCZs FYI. Super pumped, gonna yank it and bring it to work with me tom in case they write back and say send it in. ---

Your lucky then… It’s also not about how long they last, its about power consistency. Under load a lot of cheapies fall short, althought I have been impressed with rosewell lately, though i will never put it in my own machine. ---

I’ve had great success with Logisys power supplys, cheap as hell too. Probably bought 5-6 of them for different computers ive built and never had an issue. ---
