No offense dude, your taking this too personaly, I think some jackass/es, drove across your lawn, possibly too drunk, etc, etc, you’ve been there, you’ve probably even done it yourself. I’d do the nails in a piece of wood idea myself. Hooking up a camera would be a pain and the chances that you get a clear shot of the license plate may be slim. Then if you do then you gotta go and call the police and all that silly shit. They fuck your shit up, you fuck their shit up. Keep it simple.

right were they keep kutting the lawn dig a 4 foot deep 10" dia hole. insert a 6 foot long sonotube into the hole and fill it with concrete. then get one of those cheezy looking wishing well things peopel slap on their lawn, and put it over the sonotube, and fill the rest with concrete.
If it is indeed some asshole doing it on purpose, they will be drawn to the wishing well like a dumb blonde to a shiney object. They will hit that fucker and it will wipe the smile off thier face a a hurry. It wont budge and will most definatly total a car hitting it at 20-30mph. They wont go anywhere and you will catch them and fuck them over in one shot.

Problem Solved
I saw another video a while back and it will also shoot at moving vehicles. You can probably mod the software to only shoot at larger objects (ie cars/trucks).

Get small metal tubes and cut the ends sharp, mount them in the wood but not secure so they pull out with the tire. Then bury the wood. This way they are hollow so they instantly let the air out of the tire. Think spike strips.
